After the events that unfolded in the previous issue, Spider-Man decided to hitch a ride back home on a limousine transporting Professor Xavier to the home of Anthony Power. But the professor soon learned that it was a trap to have Mentallo drain him of all his mental energies in Power's attempt to cure his son. However, in the end, Power failed, ending up dooming his son with Mentallo's draining abilities instead of healing him.
